Best Friends Forever

Buffalo

We have a herd of buffalo's that live near us. They are not always out, so when I saw them near the fence I had to stop and show Emma. Some day there might not even be any buffalo's for her to see.

Let me out of the cage...

Silly friends

The girls just love each other, they always have such a good time. Who would have thought the games peek-a-boo with bowls and spin the bowls would have been so much fun.

Mama's Friends

My friend Scott and Harold had a long layover. So we were able to spend a few hours together.

Glow cup

Emma got a glow cup from one of
our favorite restaurants for her birthday.

Indoor park

Emma is getting so big. I use to take her to this park when she was just crawling and now she can climb over all the toys and get into the cars herself. Sniff, sniff, she is getting so big, she is growing up to fast!

Pink Ball

I bought this big pink ball at Wal-mart to take to the park for Emma to play with because every time we go to the park she wants to play with the other balls. Yeah, she played with it for about 5 min and then said "swing". So much for the ball huh? Good thing I only spent $2.50.

Although, one of the other little girls (with a nasty snotty nose) came up to me and said "I want to play with the ball." Well, I have never had this happened so I said "maybe later". Well, do you know what she said then? She said, "I want to play with the ball." But more persistently and meaner sounding. Well, at that point I wasn't going to let her play with it. Luckily, her mother came and told her to go play. Hmmm, what should I do, let kids play with Emma's toys? I don't let Emma play with other kids toys. I guess it will depend on the situation. This little girl came out of nowhere. But maybe if Emma had been playing with her then they could have played with the ball together. Yeah, maybe I will play it by ear.

Cheeseburger

I took Emma to McDonald's for lunch today. I love that you can now do fruit instead of fries and milk instead of juice or soda. Plus the yogurt parfaits are the bomb! Anyways, Emma was so cute with ketchup on her face. She ate almost a whole cheeseburger, all her apples, and half of my parfait! She was a hungry girl.

Side Walk Chalk

We also played with side walk chalk tonight. That was fun, but you know, I really don't like the way chalk feels in your hands. Ewww. I was trying not to let on that I didn't like holding the chalk, Emma already has issues being messy or dirty. Hmmm, wonder were that comes from.

Bubbles

Emma really loves bubbles, especially when she doesn't have to get messy. For her birthday Emma got a Bubble Bellies, this puppy shaped toy that blows bubbles. A ton of bubbles! I have to say I enjoyed blowing bubbles too.

2 year appt

Emma had her 2 year appt today. It is nice to have to take her to the doctor for a well check instead of just being sick. The Dr. said she looked great. He also said she was advanced in her verbal skills. Of course I knew that. She talks to me all day long. Mama this, mama that, mama, mama, mama.... And of course she got a shot, luckily just one! She had big crocodile tears! But I convinced her with a sucker and a sticker to stop crying. That worked pretty well. I am going to have to start the whole potty training thing here in the next 6 mo or so. She isn't even close to being ready, and I'm not going to push her. Actually, I am kind of nervous about potty training. So I may wait as long as I can!

Snapshots

We were all playing, laughing, and giggling on the couch.
I love taking candid family shots.

Sunglasses on

This is Emma's attempt at putting her sunglasses on herself.

Yeah, uh huh, yup

It really is amazing everyday to hear what new thing Emma picks up everyday. When she started saying yes to things (well, actually it has never been the word yes) she would say it like "yeeeaaahhhh". She sounded just like Ray on Rainman! When she would say "yeeeaaahhh" I would say "ok, Ray." It was so funny. Well, she doens't do that anymore. She then switched to saying "uh huh". It is really cute how she says it too. Her tone goes up on "uh" and down on "huh". After that she switched to a short "yeah" less Ray like. And now recently she added "yup". Now that is funny. I'll say, "Emma, do you want some cheese?" "Yup", she'll say. I suppose eventually I will need to get her to day "yes, please". We'll start working on that one.

Happy Birthday!

We had a family gathering for Emma's second birthday
at Cici's pizza. (Oh my goodness, 2, I can't believe it.)
Anyways, here are some of the pictures of her at
her Princess Party with her crown and her Princess cake.

In this picture she is trying to put up two fingers
to say she is two. It's more like a Star Trek sign. =)

Doesn't Emma look so happy in this picture?
What a little princess with her crown, tutu, and wand.
