Aquarium

My mom and I took my grandparents and Emma to the Dallas Aquarium. Our aquarium is awesome! Not only is there fish, but you start out at the top of a rain forest and work your way down seeing all types of cool animals. It totally rocks. We had a great time. My grandparents really enjoyed themselves and of course Emma loved seeing all the animals.

Looking at all the colorful birds and monkeys.
A huge crocodile. The giant otter exhibit. Emma got the biggest kick out of watching the otters swim around.

My grandmother was "petting" this stingray and Emma thought it was so funny.Look closely, it looks like seaweed, but it actually is a sea horse.Flamingos! Emma and I being silly!

Emma's Cousin

Emma's new cousin, Kaleb, has finally arrived. Here are the first
pictures we have seen of him. I can't wait to go see him in 2.5 weeks!

Gigi and Grandpa

My maternal grandparents came to visit this week. Emma calls my grandma Gigi and my grandpa, well, grandpa. Emma wasn't feeling really well and she just crawled up into Gigi's lap. It was so sweet and unusual for her to sit still for so long. My grandmother just thought it was the best!

Video's

Hmmm, maybe the quality isn't so good right now, it is still in the beta version. I guess maybe I will wait before I upload to many videos. Let me know what you think about the videos and the quality.

Screaming

Hey, look, blogger will now let me add videos! AWESOME! Now you can expect to see more videos. So, you might want to look back at old post, because I think I will go back and update some with videos soon.

Anyways, about this video, we went on a walk at South Lake Town Square and the girls were all wired. So they decided to have a screaming contest, this is just a short clip, they did it for a lot longer. We figured since they were outside it wouldn't hurt anything, right? ( I particularly like the part where they run away! hehe)

Main Street Days

Laura, Kevin, and I took the girls to Grapevine for the Main Street Days. It is just like Grapefest if you have ever been there. Arts, crafts, food, fun...ect. They always have a awesome (free) kids section with a petting zoo, mini train rides, bounce house, and a huge area with sand and toys to play with.

Boy, it is hot today, this ice cream cone is "delicious"!
Playing with Maddy after lunch.

Scooter

I got a tricycle for free from a friend of mine who was nice enough to share her "400 pampers points" with me. (You would only understand if you have children in diapers.) Anyways, it is an awesome tricycle. I can buckle Emma in, she doesn't need to know how to peddle, and it has a push bar! You can't get any better than that. She calls it her "scooter" and she loves it. She wants to ride it all the time.

Animals

I took Emma to the mall today because the zoo was going to bring some animals. Emma loves going to the zoo or anywhere she can see animals. They had a penguin, tarantula, boa constrictor, two giant turtles, a serval (a African wild cat with spots and stripes), a macaw, and a kinkajou (yeah, look it up on Wikipedia). It is hard to tell a 2 year old that "no, you can not hold the tarantula", because mama said! =)

Anna

Emma's best friend, Maddy, got a baby sister this month. Her name is Anna and she is just as adorable as Maddy. Emma is most oblivious to her. She will occasionally go up to her and "pet" her and call her "baby Anna". Otherwise I don't think she notices her or cares. Hmmm, maybe that gives me hope that she won't be jealous when she gets a new baby sister or brother. =)

Can you hold your tongue?

The girls are so silly! They are playing "who can hold their
tongue the longest before laughing so hard you let go".

Step-Cousins

We occasionally get together with my stepfather's daughter and her children, three boys. Emma thinks these boys are so goofy and enjoys seeing them.

Time to Go

We had a great time visiting my family in Arizona, not it is time to go! I wish I could have stayed longer. I will just have to make another trip back soon! Here are some last pictures of us with my dad and then we had breakfast with my grandfather.

Checkers

My dad has the biggest Doberman Pinscher I have ever seen. I really don't care for dogs and particularly other peoples dogs much, but I would trade our dog, Abby, for Checkers. Checkers is a trained therapy dog and so gentle and sweet. If he didn't weigh like 200 lbs I would probably trade Abby for him. (That is of course if they would even trade for Abby). Sitting up he stands as high as Emma does. He is just huge, but so sweet!

More swimming....

Ok, so Emma really liked going swimming today, but it was way to cold. So we let her swim in the kiddie pool with lukewarm water and she had a blast. I need to consider getting one of these for home. We just stripped Emma down naked and put her in. She loved it!

Swimming

So, we thought it would be fun to take Emma swimming. And you would think that pool would be warm enough to swim in May in Arizona. Yeah, think again. It was freezing and Emma still wanted to swim. I finally made her get out after 15 min when her skin was purple and she couldn't stop chattering!

Greatgrandparents

We all went out to dinner tonight with my father, Kim, my grandfather, and Karen. Emma of course was a cheeseball! I am so surprised that she wasn't bashful or anything. She took to everyone so well.
