Doodle Mat

One of Emma's birthday present was a doodle mat. If you have a two year old then you must get a doodle mat! The pen fills with water and the mat turns color with just the water pen. So if she writes on the floor or on her face it's ok! I love it and so does she.

Emma's 2nd Birthday Party

We decided to have Emma's 2nd Birthday party a week early so that my friend Laura could make it to the party (she had a baby that following Sunday). Anyways, Emma didn't care that her birthday party was a week early, she doesn't get the concept of having a birthday quite yet. Although, she had a great time with all her little friends. It was actually kindof fun rounding up a bunch of two year olds!

Smell... the flowers

The Park

Here it is Feb and we are taking the girls to the park! I love Texas winters. (I will be hating it this summer though!)

Books

Emma loves books. We read them all the time, especially before bed. Emma loves this one particular book, Moo Baa La La La. She has all the words memorized and she wanted me to participate in the story. I just love this video.

Sunglasses

Emma friend Maddy gave Emma one of her old pairs of sunglasses and Emma loves them. She is always saying it is "sunny". So now she has some sunglasses. She looks adorable wearing them. I had a hard time picking which picture to include. She can't put them on herself yet, but she tries.

Pictures... of two year olds

Do you know how hard it is to get two (really cute) two year olds to sit still and smile? Near impossible. So here is my attempt.

Getting better

Emma seems to finally be feeling better. We have finished all her rounds of medicine except one and I am going to call the Dr. on Monday and see if we can stop that one. I am so glad! I was worried it might be something more serious. It is so stressful to have a sick child. I can't even imagine having a child with a chronic disease. I thank God everyday she is healthy!

The Mat

We take the girls to the mall to run around, play, and waste time. There is this mat on the ground that has images projected onto it that change as the girls interact with it. They call it the "mat". So we always go and play on the mat. They have the best time! Plus we can sit for a minute and relax and chit chat with each other.

Playing with Friends

I love this new play place that we take the girls, it is so great to be able to visit with my friends while the girls play. Here is Emma with her friends Maddy and Lauren.

Spanking

Tonight Emma was laying on the changing table and was drooling spit down her cheek. I told her "Emma stop spitting." Emma proceeded to continue spitting. I said, "Emma, do you want a spanking" and her response was "yes"! I repeated myself, "Emma, you want a spanking?" in a more firm tone and her reply was "yes". So I lifted up her leg and gave her two swats on her outer thigh. She of course was shocked and cried. But she stopped spitting, and now I will be able to use the threat of a spanking for a few weeks now. It is so hard to discipline a child and follow through.

Upsidedown

Daddy and Emma have a game where he tips Emma up side down. Now that she is putting 2 and 3 words together she says... "upsidedown". It is soooo cute!

Trouble

Emma kept throwing her on the floor, so she got into trouble.
We take away all of her food , sometimes smack her hand,
and then turn her into the corner. She use to cry, now most
of the time she thinks it is a game.

Cough continues

Emma is not getting any better with the respiratory treatments so I took her to the doctor today. They did a chest x-ray, she did great! When the Dr. put the films on the light, I saw immediatly that she had some congestion in her lungs. So the Dr. put her on another respiratory treatment, antibiotics, and switched to Allegra (instead of Claritan). I feel like I am filling her full of medicine! I feel like such a terrible nurse to have not brought her into see the Dr before two weeks ago. I hope this works.

Emma and Abby

Emma loves Abby. She gives her kisses and shares her "soup" with Abby. I am so glad, Abby has been so neglected since Emma was born.

Adorable

Emma is just so cute, I love dressing her in pink!
