Kevin and I have been trying diligently to teach Emma how to say "please" and "thank you". Often time Emma will ask for something, for example milk. I will either say, "say please" or "what do you say". When I say "what do you say" she looks at me like I am the idiot. I can see it in her eyes, "hello, I just told you I wanted milk". Well, it must be working because at lunch today Emma held out her sippy cup and said "more, please". Without even being prompted to say "please". This is the first time ever! Yeah, it's working! We're teaching her manners!
