The weather lately has been fantastic!!! I've been trying to get out during the day to the park and let Emma play especially since I feel worse in the evenings. Luckily Kevin is home in the evenings to help with dinner and bedtime routines. Emma just loves to swing! I just think she looks so cute in pigtails too!
Emma and I drove out to Tyler to see Laura and Maddy (Anna and John too!) for a few days. At this point I'm starting to not feel so well, so it was nice to go and sit and have someone else cook for me and help take care of Emma. Sure makes me realize how much I miss them though.
Not only can Emma sing and dance, but she can do it all while sucking her thumb! Hehehe. I don't know why, but lately Emma has been "dancing" by walking around in circles. Kind of like a dog trapped in the kennel. I guess I need to get out more! Maybe I should get her into dance lessons so that she can actually learn how to dance. I bet she would love that! =)
The weather was beautiful today and I haven't started feeling to horrible yet, so I thought I would take Emma to the pumpkin patch today. I was even brave and did the hay ride, which I thought I might regret, but it wasn't so bad.
I was bored today. So I cracked out the camera and took some pictures of Emma and I. I took about 35 pictures. Here are some really cute ones.
This one isn't very cute of me, but it's the first picture Emma has ever taken. She didn't do such a bad job. Maybe she will become a photographer like her daddy!
Emma loves to play dress up. She is such a little girl. I think for Christmas we will get her some dress up outfits, I just know she will love them. Sometimes she puts on the most random stuff. She is wearing her blue dinosaur p.j.'s, pink ballerina skirt, and she has on a gold and pink shoe. She is also wearing my green turtle Mardi-Gras beads and the ladybug hat she made in Gymboree. And in one hand she is holding her princess wand and in the other a pinwheel. Oh, and she has her yellow sunglasses on upside down!! Hehehe. I guess she gets her fashion style from me. =)
We were so adventurous this month! We went with our friends to the Greek Fest. Greek food is pretty tasty too, especially Baklava ice cream! It was very crowded but fun. I love doing these fun things!Greek Performers Dancing
We went with some friends to the German fest. Mmmm, I sure do love German food. It was fun to listen to German music and eat some yummy German food. And Emma rode her first amusement park ride and she loved it! Can't wait until next year!
Emma and I drove out to Tyler to attend Maddy's birthday party and to spend some time with them since they moved away! They had the party at Pump It Up. Emma hasn't quite figured out how to jump yet so I think the party was lost on her. Although, I had a great time on the slides. It was a good thing they had some balls and a push car, which is what Emma played with the whole time. It was nice to see them. I sure do miss hanging with them every week!
Emma and I took Scott to Grapefest today and met my friend from work and her adorable daughter Lauren. It was nice to have Scott there to take the girls into the petting zoo, bounce house, train ride, and to play in the sand. I think Scott's favorite part was the petting zoo! He was a big chicken, he was totally freaked out by the llamas! Hehe! What fun! I particularly like the picture of the girls riding the train with the Budweiser truck in the back! hehe =)
Kevin and I have been trying to get pregnant, well, honestly, this was only the second month we tried. I can't believe we're going to have another child! Emma's going to be a big sister!!! My friend Scott was in town visiting and to be honest, I was so excited to see my positive pregnancy test that I went and woke him up and showed him. He was the first person to find out! I sent a picture text message to Kevin. After I hadn't heard from him for several hours I called him and asked him to check his messages, he was at a conference and was very excited when he saw the message.
We had anticipated becoming pregnant and wanted a unique and fun way to tell my mom. So we ordered a shirt online that said "I'm going to be a big sister." We went over to my mom's house and we were there for 15 min and she never noticed the shirt. I finally whispered to Emma to go show Mema her shirt. My mom was so excited!! Wow, I can't believe we are going to have another baby, I still can't believe I have already been pregnant, given birth, and now have a 2 1/5 year old!!
My mom and I took Emma to the free city summer music concert. We listened to music, danced, and played with Emma. The weather was beautiful! Here is some cute pictures of Emma, notice she still has her boo boo on her lip. =( Doesn't she have the most beautiful blue eyes and the longest dark lashes? This is so funny, you must watch the video, I was laughing so hard the video was shaking. We put the lawn chair bag on Emma's head, to pretend it's long hair. Watching her try to take if off is a riot! If we can't tease our children occasionally what fun is it to have children! hehe
We took Emma over to my mom's house for date night and she put Emma to bed. When I went in to pick her up she was sucking on her tongue and it made a cute clicking sound. Listen...
I know I have gotten several request to update my blog... I'm just so tired. I usually update it during Emma's naps. Well, I have been napping every day during Emma's naps. So that doesn't leave much time to get anything done. Hopefully when I am in my second trimester I will be feeling more energetic. Hopefully. Don't worry, I won't forget about it, believe me I have it looming over my head every day.
